HOW TO INSTALL TURNTABLE BELT

1) Lift turntable platter mat, if the turntable uses one.

2) Lift turntable platter straight up vertically over the center spindle.

• Some platters are composed of an outer platter and a sub platter.  Lift the outer platter. The belt goes around the sub platter and the motor pulley.
  (a) Loop the belt around the sub platter and extend the belt around the groove of the motor pulley.
  (b) Rotate the platter clockwise 2 o 3 turns slowly to make sure that the belt is properly threading in the groove of the motor pulley.
  (c) Re-place the platter gently over the center spindle and sub platter.

• Other platters are one-piece and have hole(s) on the side. Underneath the platter is a narrow cylinder. The turntable drive belt goes around the cylinder and the motor pulley.
  (a) Loop the belt around the cylinder underneath platter. The belt should be somewhat snug or it will fall off.
  (b) Place the platter gently and carefully over the center spindle. Push down gently and vertically. if you mount the platter at an angle or use undue force, this may damage the center spindle or the hole in the platter.
  (c) Rotate the platter so that the hole is over the motor pulley.
  (d) Extend the drive belt which is in position around the narror cylinder and place it in the groove on the motor pulley.
  (e) Rotate the platter clockwise 2 o 3 turns slowly to make sure that the belt is properly threading in the groove on the motor pulley.
